The Week Ahead 27 April 2015

Tuesday's session is the ever-popular track paarlauf for which you'll need a partner of equal speed. You'll place yourselves on opposite sides of the track and take it in turns to run the 200 metres to your partner. When he/she is running their 200m you'll jog back across the track in time to take over your leg of the relay.

You continue for 15 minutes, take a break, and then do another 15 mins in the opposite direction.

For the second part of the evening, Ivan will divide you into teams for a relay - what jolly fun!

Thursday's run takes us over to Sedbury, through the Diving Centre, over the fields to Boughspring, and back via Glos Way/Offa's Dyke.

The Week Ahead 13 April 2015

Summer's here and the time is right, for running on the track (do-do-dootle-oo-do)!

That's right, go straight up to the Leisure Ctre field and start your warm-up before Coach Ivan sets you off for your 16 (12 for D,E.F groups) x 300 metres clockwise.

Thursday sees the second Handicap up Chepstow Park Wood. There'll be some changes mind, with some adjusted handicaps following last Tuesday's performances, and with the race going round in the opposite direction.

And more points at stake on Sunday morning at Monmouth. The Kymin Dash is April's Club Championship. Watch out for meeting times.

The Week Ahead 6 April 2015

Tuesday sees the first Club Handicap at Chepstow Park Wood. Take the Devauden road at St Arvans and after a mile and a half you'll find the car park on the left just past the Cot turn-off on the right. Sharing cars is advisable if you want to be sure of a place.

The course is almost 5 miles clockwise round the edge of the wood on a quite lumpy loose stone surface. Most wear road shoes.

Be there well before 6.45. Drinks and snacks after.

Thursday's run is over the 'new' Wye Bridge, along Sedbury Lane, across the fields to the A48, thro' the Diving Ctre, thro' Tidenham churchyard, across the fields to Boughspring, and back along Gloucestershire Way and Tidenham.

The club HANDICAP starts this Tuesday - 7th April

The first club handicap of the year is this Tuesday 7.4.2015. The first runner will start at 6:45 pm.
